Her flash back begins with her college days, and then to her law school and early career days as lawyer, she recalls the intimate details of each relationship and her and Suze’s quest to find the perfect man. Through the 1980s and ’90s, Meg Ellens career booms in an era when successful young women were trailblazing. During this time, she continues to woo men with her amazing good looks and subtle charm, but she manages for a long time to find something that disqualifies each one as Joe Right.Meg Ellen and Suze are two interesting career-oriented women who a reader can easily relate to. Each chapter has a love affair with a little bit of tastefully written sizzle, and each has a male character who is well developed and diverse enough to give the story pace and intrigue especially since the reader does not learn until the final chapter who of the suitors she marries. All the men are attractive in their own way- one is foreign, another is incredibly wealthy, providing the reader with a classic romantic escape while still maintaining a story line of friendship, career aspirations and personal growth. A great novel to pick up for an afternoon escape. Joe Right by Kate Rogers
