The list of entries was consolidated from four different sources: 1) The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 2) The Chambers Dictionary, 3) Merriam-Websters Collegiate Dictionary, and 4) McGraw-Hills Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs.Addictions are ubiquitous and have increasingly become a global issue.
